Hedging Against Craziness

Lately, it feels like chaos is everywhere.
Trade cases. Court appeals. Volatile markets. Wacky job reports. High inflation. High interest rates. Stressed households.
And that’s just the headlines.
On the home front?
- A senior in high school who is applying to college and just turned 17 yesterday!
- An 8th grader lobbying for a boarding school.
- A car accident (I was rear-ended, not my fault) where the other driver’s insurance won’t pay the entire amount.
- A snoring husband keeps me awake.
- A broken coffee machine (the real tragedy).
Some days, it feels like that old 1970s commercial: “Calgon, take me away!”
Wasn’t AI supposed to make life easier?
Here’s the truth: hedging against craziness isn’t just about money.
It’s about resilience, taking control, and doing hard things
—like putting yourself out there on video, even when you know your daughters are going to laugh at you ;-)
So after months of resisting, circling back, and finally listening,
I’m excited to share my 2.0:

Just like in life, you need a plan to move forward.
Because I believe the best feeling is being in control when the world is crazy.
Happy Birthday to Caroline!!
17 years ago, I had to drive myself to the hospital from Greenwich to Upper West Side, which was real chaos!!
