From Palisades to Apocalypse

The devastation caused by the LA fires is heartbreaking. 

For years, our family has cherished our annual Christmas visits to the Palisades—savoring coffee, dinners, and shopping in the village. 

My cherished runs through Will Rogers Park or up Topanga now feel like distant memories.

The destruction reminds me of the concept of the "Dark Night of the Soul" which the movie Apocalypse Now is based on

—a period of profound loss that often gives way to resilience and transformation.

In moments like these, I hold onto hope and the unwavering spirit of rebuilding.

—you are in my heart. 

May you find strength in the days ahead, and may these spaces be renewed with love, beauty, and life once again.

Through this, we learn the power of resilience and community, finding light even in the darkest of times.
