How I found a pot of Gold

Recently, I’ve been feeling pretty comfortable in life.

Work and family have all been going well.

I’m grateful.

But I felt like something was missing.

Like I wasn’t challenging myself enough.

Was I getting stuck?

While I’m in the midst of launching a financial educational video series,

I wasn’t sure if this is something I should do.

Maybe this will be a distraction from my core business.

This is a huge challenge for me.

Then a few weeks ago, I started working with my friend Lisa Finkelstein on creating a presentation on finding your purpose.

Lisa is a business strategist who focuses on helping others drive sustainable impact, to compete in disruptive environments, and to build for the future.

Finding your purpose helps us compete better in today's topsy-turvy world.

What is a purpose statement, and why is it important?

A purpose statement isn’t an elevator pitch.

It’s meant to tap into your internal drive.

Figure out what is important in life.

A quote by Steve Jobs sums it up perfectly,

“You can't connect the dots looking forward;

You can only connect them looking backwards.

So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.

You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever.

We all have a unique set of experiences that

gives us the energy to do what we are meant to do.

Unfortunately, we are all so busy executing on life that we cover it up.

Well, I was blown away by what Lisa helped me uncover.

Connecting my dots, by looking backward,

I realized there is no one else out there who has had my set of experiences.

- Growing up with a single mother in a small apartment in Beverly Hills

- An economics major at UC Berkeley

- Hedge fund portfolio manager

- CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™

- Small business owner

- Becoming creative by writing weekly and sharing my wisdom and story.

But now I know my purpose,

To take on challenges, find the patterns

so I can help people make better decisions

so they can have a more rewarding life.

There is no one better than me to inspire women to help them feel more confident about their financial future.

My purpose helps provide me with a new source of energy, a 2nd wind in life.

It is my pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

If this resonates with you Lisa and I will be presenting to a wider audiance in January.

I will have a sign up in January once we finalize the date and time!

Thank you for reading!
