Dirty, Sexy, Money

Updated: May 13, 2022

Making money on money can be both sexy and dirty.

You remember the show.

Filthy-rich Darling family sucks in Nick George to be their lawyer and pay him handsomely but with strings attached.

We were on a nice path to recovery

But guess who messed this all up?

Men

More specifically,

Men who levered up and followed the crowd

To make money on money

volatility has to below,

guys borrow money and buy stock.

Billions. $$$$

Banks are willing to lend these guys money because they also make money on money.

Leverage and low vol allow banks and these guys to shoot for the fences.

This sexy money magnifies hedge fund returns.

Men bought more stock than they could have otherwise.

Why?

Because it’s other people’s money.

I’ve seen this movie before

Hedge funds gone wild.

It's a shame because these dirty guys are destroying innocent people's retirement portfolios.

Relationships and the stock market test us, but it also teaches us.

There will be opportunities.

What matters is how we respond and who we become in the process.

No one ever said investing would be easy—they just said the trouble would be worth it in the end.

Thank you to Ryan Holiday for sharing his wisdom on relationships which I borrowed and used as a way to describe money.

Tip:

Money is emotional and sometimes you need a guide to help you enjoy the ride.

Never make a decision based on emotion when it comes to investing in the stock market.

This is why some of us need an Advisor and a plan, to help navigate the ups and downs of life and the market!
